Our Story

For more than 25 years, Dermatology for Animals (DFA) has been a trusted referral centre for advanced veterinary dermatology across Queensland.

Located within a leading multi-disciplinary referral hospital in the heart of Brisbane, you’ll have access to exceptional diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including Aesculight CO₂ and diode lasers, advanced video otoscopy with Auri-Kleen irrigation and aspiration, 64-slice CT, and 1.5T MRI. Our close working relationships with anaesthesia, surgery, oncology, internal medicine, and ophthalmology allow for seamless, high-level patient care and complex case collaboration.

You will join a highly regarded specialist team led by Dr John Hutt and Dr Jeylan Aslan, with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to clinical direction, case discussion, and the ongoing evolution of the service.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Board Certified Veterinary Dermatologist with a Veterinary degree registrable in Queensland (we can help you with this).

If you have completed residency training and are intending to sit specialist exams soon you are invited to applyWe also welcome Dermatologists who are seeking locum work.
