About Us

We are a boutique, independently owned specialist referral service established in 2023, based in Canberra. Our service is associated with the Capital Paws collaborative network of independent primary care clinics. In addition, we provide advanced surgical support to a strong and engaged referring community across the ACT and NSW.

Our service is growing rapidly, with a new purpose-built hospital scheduled for completion in early 2027.

  • Dedicated, fully equipped surgical suite
  • Veta5 anaesthesia
  • Stryker arthroscopy and laparoscopy
  • Coviden electrosurgery
  • Surgical laser
  • Synthes power tools
  • VOI TPLO and LCP systems
  • Digital radiology
  • Wound VAC, PRP system, laser rehab therapy
  • Physical therapy service
  • Access to 128-slice GE CT

Our caseload is diverse, including orthopaedics, neurosurgery, oncology, and soft tissue. The role can be tailored to your interests—whether focused or mixed discipline.

What We’re Looking For

  • Veterinary degree eligible for registration in the ACT
  • Specialist qualification (DECVS, DACVS, or FANZCVS)
  • Eligible for specialist registration with the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
  • A collaborative mindset and engagement with the referring vet community
