We are now seeking a Locum Small Animal Surgery Specialist to join our high-performing surgery service on a flexible, short-term or medium-term basis.

As a Locum Surgery Specialist, you will:

  • Manage and perform advanced surgical procedures, including orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery
  • Work alongside our surgery specialists, surgery interns, and ECC teams
  • Support case discussions, inpatient care, and collaborative clinical planning
  • Contribute to a positive, team-driven environment with open communication
  • Optionally participate in mentoring or teaching depending on your availability

Requirements

  • Board-certified Small Animal Surgery Specialist (ACVS/ECVS), ANZCVS Fellow, or residency-trained surgeon
    •    Eligible for veterinary registration with the AVBC (limited registration considered)
    •    Strong communication skills and a commitment to team-based care
