Our private practice Ophthalmology Residency offers an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work and learn with a busy and friendly referral hospital team whilst maintaining an academic connection to the University of Sydney.

We are supported by a range of specialist services including internal medicine; surgery; oncology; diagnostic imaging; exotics and avian; and emergency and critical care. Our team works with the latest equipment and offers an advanced standard of care in ophthalmic case management and surgery.

 

About the position

During the program you will be exposed to structured learning opportunities, see a variety of cases and work closely with other specialities. You will work under the guidance and mentorship of our 3 diplomat ophthalmologists (2 ECVO and 1 ACVO), as well as more broadly within a team of professional veterinarians and expert nursing staff.

 

About you

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic veterinarian with a dedication to learning more about Veterinary Ophthalmology. To be considered for this position we request the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Prior ophthalmology or rotating internship mandatory
  • Strong initiative
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic and efficiency
  • Eligible for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW (or equivalent).
