The Oncology Internship:

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate veterinarian to join Australia’s largest Oncology team. This time, our internship will be split across both Medical and Radiation Oncology, making for the only internship of it’s kind in Australia. This position is a structured, 12 month learning opportunity offering a varied case load, with support every step of the way from our huge team. SASH has the best Linear Accelerator in the country, located on-site as part of the SASH Cancer Centre. If you are interested in pursuing Oncology as a specialty, there is nowhere in the country better equipped to help you start your journey!

To be considered for a position, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with many different stakeholders
  • Have a flexible approach to issues
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of SASH

To be considered you will:

  • Interest in specialising in small animal oncology
  • 2 years post qualification experience as a Vet
  • Ability to register as a veterinarian in NSW through the VPB
  • A completed a rotating internship would be highly desirable
