The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Small Animal Surgical Resident to join our experienced surgical team in a full-time capacity.

As a resident at VSS, you’ll be immersed in a stimulating and collaborative learning environment, managing diverse and complex cases alongside highly respected mentors. You’ll receive comprehensive training under the ANZCVS Small Animal Surgery Fellowship Program, guided by supervisors who have not only completed the program themselves but have also served as fellowship examiners.

This is your chance to sharpen your surgical expertise and gain the knowledge and confidence to excel in your residency and beyond.

 

About You

You are:

  • Eligible for veterinary registration in Queensland.
  • A graduate of a rotating internship (or equivalent experience).
  • Ideally a Member of the ANZCVS (though not essential).
  • Passionate about patient care, teamwork, and learning.
  • A strong communicator with sound problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated to pursue excellence and stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
